Dr. Harold W. Pease received his doctorate from Brigham Young University in August 1974. Immediately thereafter he was employed as the historian on the BYU Centennial Committee. This was followed by 24 years of teaching political science and US History at two California colleges. This time period was broken only to serve for a few months in 1979 as an advisor to the Constitutional Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee of the US Senate. At different times during those interim years he was a political columnist in numerous newspapers and did a daily five-minute radio spot, “In Defense of the Constitution,” on several California stations.

Dr. Pease’s most notable published work was The Communist/Capitalist Alliance. His most recent books are The Mind and Will of the Lord series.

With respect to his many awards, Dr. Pease was the first political scientist in the nation to receive the prestigious Leavey Award for Excellence in Private Enterprise Education—the Freedom Foundation’s highest award. Today Dr. Pease is a favored professor on the US Constitution and New World Order politics.

Despite a very busy career, Dr. Pease has fulfilled many callings at both the ward and stake levels in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loves to serve. “The only award or honor that really means anything,” he maintains, “is the one the Lord bestows on the other side.”
